Emergency Response
Emergency calls are answered by notification from Lehigh County Communications Center which is the 911 center for Lehigh County.

Care is provided on a Basic Life Support (BLS) level by Emergency Medical Technicians and First Responders certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. BLS service includes things such as oxygen administration, limited assistance with medications, basic airway management, splinting and immobilizing, cardiac defibrillation, CPR, and emergency transportation.

On emergencies where Advanced Life Support (ALS) is required, Upper Saucon receives assistance from a mutual aid station such as South Mountain Area Medic 5, Emmaus Ambulance Corps, St. Luke's Emergency & Transport Services, Cetronia Ambulance Corps and the City of Allentown EMS.

There are seven hospitals we normally offer emergency transportation to including:
• Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest
• Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg
• Lehigh Valley Hospital - 17th and Chew
• St. Luke's Hospital - Fountain Hill
• St. Luke's Hospital - Allentown
• St. Luke's Hospital - Quakertown
• Sacred Heart Hospital

Non-Emergency Transports
Transports can be arranged in advance for non-emergency situations.  Transports require at least 24 hours notice so that we can prepare an additional crew.  Our primary goal is to perform emergency care, thus, we cannot guarantee availability for non-emergency transports.  Contact us by phone for more information at 610-282-1565.

On-Site Medical Management
Events such as large community gatherings, sporting events, and parades are the perfect opportunity to have guaranteed EMS care just seconds away.  Upper Saucon can provide dedicated on-site standbys for such events.
